HISTORY

For over 30 years, our company has demonstrated the usefulness of the services, giving our vision a more thoughtful and extensive contribution to the sensitive area of health.
Our company was established in 1992, having as a first goal to transport patients and PRM, providing services for the insurance industry and private healthcare – two industries which have been thriving for the past years.
The geographical complexity of our country (numerous islands ), as well as the large numbers of tourists, were the key factors that pressured all of us to provide centralized patient care of a high standard and established us as pioneers in providing assistance, warmth, and human respect between the insured and the insurers.
Our synchronized call center can record and collect data from all calls authorized by the Greek protection act, securing all actions for our cooperators.
The company’s primary aim is secure and safe patient transport, most economically.
The pressure of providing these services located us as the first Greek company established at the International Athens Airport “Eleftherios Venizelos” as the central point of assistance not only for the surrounding area but also for North-Western and Central Europe, with Governmental and International cooperation.
Greek Flying Doctors are operating 24/7 for 365 days. Employees host the call center with experience and are well-trained for the assistance of quick activation of the medical team and the crew.
Our medical crew (Anesthitiologist – ICU) contributes with their knowledge in the safe transport of the patient from Greek islands towards the commercial centers or from Greece to foreign countries either by air ambulance flights which our company organizes.
We provide the latest technology in medical equipment, which is renewed every two years.All equipment is authorized by JAR 145, American FAA, or European EASA, and it is authorized to be used in any aircraft.
Our aircrafts are equipped with monitors, defibrillators, oximeters, capnographs, ventilators, serum pumps, portable ultrasounds, suctions, intubation and CPR sets, vacuum mattresses, portable limb traction, and KENT splints.
